Let’s me introduce you this nice project by Pedro Veneziano for his design graduation at Universidade Estadual Paulista. The idea was to (re)create the visual identity of a cultural event of our choice, attending to some production issues. He choose the Festival de Cinema de Gramado, and try to avoid the tipical image given to awards’ events.

I also wanted to run away from the ‘craftwork’ visual that’s generally associated to Brazil, once our country’s design (just as its cinema) has much more to showcase.

The result is really impressive for a student work, the typographic exercice quite close to the art deco movement fits well to the cinema world. But the most important is there are still a Brazilian touch on this project, certainly through the colors and the Portuguese sentences.
